Inkmeet

Privacy policy

Last updated: October 10, 2026. Inkmeet is currently in development. This policy describes the services used by the current app; it will be reviewed before public release.

Data used by the app

When you sign in with Apple, authentication is handled by Apple and Supabase. Supabase stores account identifiers and session information. Apple may provide an email address, including a private relay address. We do not receive your Apple password.

Profile information includes a nickname, chosen city and avatar. These are shown to other users for discovery. Map positions are illustrative points around the city centre. The app does not request GPS location.

Letters, their sender and recipient identifiers, delivery timestamps, reply relationships and blocking records are stored in Supabase to support delivery and safety. Recipients can read letters addressed to them. Letters are not end-to-end encrypted. Authorized operators may access records when needed for support, safety or service administration.

If you enable notifications, your device's push token is stored to deliver notifications through Apple's push service.

Voice input

Microphone and speech-recognition access are requested when you use voice input. Apple's on-device speech recognizer transcribes your speech. Inkmeet requires on-device recognition; voice input is unavailable when your device or language does not support it. Inkmeet does not send audio to its server or to PostHog. The resulting text becomes part of a letter if you send it.

Product analytics

The app uses PostHog to understand events such as composing, folding, sending, opening and replying to letters. Events include a random installation identifier, app version, platform, event outcome and session duration. We do not send letter text, voice recordings, chosen cities, coordinates, nicknames, Apple account identifiers or email addresses to PostHog. Automatic screen tracking, session replay, person profiles and GeoIP enrichment are disabled. Analytics may be sent automatically when the app opens. Network providers still receive information needed to process requests, such as IP addresses.

PostHog analytics are hosted in its US cloud project. Supabase, Apple and Cloudflare process data to operate their services. We do not sell personal data or use this data for cross-company advertising tracking.

This website

This static website is hosted by Cloudflare Pages. It has no analytics scripts, advertising, forms or external fonts. Cloudflare may process request information for hosting and security. Email links open your own mail application.

Retention and your choices

Account and service records are retained while needed to operate the service and respond to requests. Safety records may be retained when required for abuse prevention or legal obligations. Analytics are retained according to the project's configured retention. We will publish finalized retention periods before launch.

You can disable microphone or notification permissions in iOS Settings. Contact goodsiwen@gmail.com to request access, correction or deletion of your account data. Identity verification may be required.
